Mobile Optimized Website

start-buildingIs my website mobile optimized? How do I find out? On April 21st 2015, Google launched an update of it’s search engine which is going to affect anyone who does not have a mobile responsive site. In a blog post in February they said, “We will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results.”

It is vitally important, now more than ever, that your website is mobile friendly. If it isn’t, you are going to be left high and dry i’m afraid. Your rankings will be a lot lower, there will be less traffic to your site as they will be all heading to your competitors mobile friendly sites and in turn your sales will be affected dramatically! Nearly everyone has a mobile device of some sort these days and they spend most of their web surfing time on their smart device. No matter what your business is, having it mobile optimized should be your main priority above everything else.

With a Mobile Website from you are able to add buttons to your page for Click To Call, Click To Order, a Find Us button with a location map and directions option powered by Google Maps, Coupon options. The list goes on and on.

Take a look at our website to see just what your own website would look like on a mobile device. Browse through the many different options we have and play around with it, just to see the potential that having an amazing responsive website could have on your business. Lets take restaurants for example, the menu page is there with gallery pictures added if you want.

Here, the Find Us button and the Click To Call button are of prime importance. There was a recent survey done which found that a massive 86% of people who searched for a nearby restaurant from their mobile device actually went to eat at that restaurant! So as you can see it is of huge importance that you can still reach these potential customers/clients by having your site mobile optimized. There a a couple of ways to test if your site is responsive. You can go to your site and try to make the window smaller by dragging from the top or the side. If the page re-arranges itself as it is getting smaller and still looks the same then you’re good to go! If however the page is cut and starts to look awful, then you need to get on to to get it all up to date for you.

Google have a site where you can test your sites responsiveness. There you can copy and paste your website url into the box, hit analyze and Google will let you know if your site is mobile friendly or not and why! So there you have it, get checking on those sites and get in contact with for help bringing you up to scratch!
