Mobile Friendly Websites
Mobile Friendly, It’s The Way To Go…. Having a Mobile-Friendly Website is the future of your online survival as a business. Google’s new search engine algorithm is making it so that if you don’t have a Website that is accessible on a mobile device you will be left in the gutter. They will use this new algorithm as a ranking tool so that any website that is not mobile optimized will have less traffic going to it and won’t appear in the top searches. Which in essence means, “if you’re not in, you can’t win”!
This is not bad news. If you do not yet have a Mobile-Friendly Website, this is more than likely the push you need to enter this highly lucrative market for your business and increase revenue. Take a look at these global statistics put together by we are social.
– Total Population: 7.210 Billion
– Active Internet Users: 3.010 Billion
– Active Social Media Accounts: 2.078 Billion
– Unique Mobile Users: 3.649 Billion
– Active Mobile Social Accounts: 1.685 Billion
Now, I’m no Albert Einstein, but that looks to me like a whole lot of potential visitors to businesses that are accessible online . eMarketer predicts that by next year there will be over 2 billion smartphone users across the globe. A Responsive Website will give you the edge over your competitors who have yet to get involved. Just to be clear, a Responsive website will allow your website to be viewed on a Desktop, Tablet and Mobile Device.
Meaning you won’t ever have to worry about what device your website is accessed from, It will look great on any device. You don’t have to go fully responsive if you don’t want to. You can keep your original website and just get a mobile version of it created. Just a tip on that: With a website designed for desktop alone, most of the time it is okay to have a lot of content on the home page. This is not the case with a mobile site. It should be “easy on the eye”, not too cluttered and to the point. Otherwise you will find that visitors won’t enjoy the experience and will click over to another site and take their business with them. Another idea would be to get an App for your business created to compliment your website and business overall.
I hope you found this post useful and now have a little better understanding of how important it is to have a strong online presence. Whether it be a fully Responsive Website, a Mobile-Friendly Website or an App.
